Rush Billing Invoice Template and Fee Calculator
Create an itemized invoice for expedited work, calculate the rush charge you agreed with the client, record who approved it and when delivery is due, then print or save the result as a PDF.
What is rush billing?
Rush billing is the invoicing workflow for work delivered or processed faster than the normal schedule. The invoice should separate the ordinary project charge from any expedited-service fee and preserve the client's written approval, promised delivery time, payment terms and payment route.
There is no universal rush-fee percentage. Use only a fee and deadline supported by your agreement or written client approval. This browser tool performs arithmetic and formats a record; it does not decide whether a fee is enforceable, taxable or appropriate.

Rush fee calculation examples
The formula is standard project rate × agreed rush percentage = rush fee. Add the standard charge and rush fee as separate invoice lines so the client can see what changed.
Examples illustrate arithmetic only. Contract terms, taxes and local requirements can change what belongs on an actual invoice.
Document why expedited billing is justified
Use a rush invoice only when the agreement or customer instruction supports accelerated processing. Identify the urgent delivery, the person who approved any rush charge, the revised due date, and the payment route that can actually meet that date.
Confirm receipt with the approver instead of relying on the shorter deadline alone. Preserve the approval and delivery evidence with the invoice. If the customer did not authorize an expedited fee or due date, use the standard invoice workflow.
A rush label should change the processing plan, not reduce review quality. Recalculate quantities, rates, tax, credits, and prior payments; confirm the payment route; and identify who will monitor the accelerated due date. An inaccurate urgent invoice usually takes longer to collect.
After closure, compare the promised processing date with the actual approval and payment dates. If the customer could not meet the accelerated route, remove that assumption from future jobs or agree on a deposit before accepting urgent work.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What information should I include on a rush invoice?
A: A complete Rush Invoice should include your business name and contact details, client information, a unique invoice number, date issued, payment due date, itemized list of services or products with quantities and prices, applicable taxes, payment terms, and the total amount due. Including clear payment instructions helps ensure faster payment.
Q: Do I need an account to use the rush invoice template?
A: No account or registration is needed. Simply visit the page, enter your details, and generate your invoice immediately. All processing happens in your browser — your data is never stored on our servers.
Q: What formats can I download my invoice in?
A: You can copy the formatted text or use your browser's Print / Save PDF option. The page does not upload a PDF to a server.
Q: Does the Rush Fee Invoice Template calculate taxes and discounts automatically?
A: Yes. Enter your tax rate as a percentage and any discount amount, and the tool automatically calculates tax, applies the discount, and displays a complete breakdown including subtotal, tax, discount, and total due.
Q: Is my invoice data stored or shared with anyone?
A: The tool processes the fields locally in your browser and does not intentionally send invoice data to BillingFixPro. Your browser, installed extensions, device settings, and any content you print or save remain outside this tool's control.
